Adventurous Antics!

The last couple of weeks have been so filled with activities it’s a wonder that our students have had any time to sleep! They have spent their first week away at another Abernethy centre, Nethybridge – the first of several visits to our other centres over the next few months getting the full Abernethy tour. Whilst they were at Nethybridge they spent lots of time learning how to climb and abseil outdoors, they also went canoeing, hill walking and they also had daily evening sessions in the centre pool learning and perfecting their kayak rolling skills – with decidedly mixed results!

This past week they have spent so much time out and about around the centre I haven’t had the chance to get many stories from them. They have been doing a mixture of mountain biking, hill walking, micro navigation, indoor climbing, canoeing and kayaking – they’ve even been on their first river trips and most of them have been swimming too (however unintentional that might have been!) I’m sure however that there are lots of stories from the past couple of weeks that we could tell you but since a picture paints a thousand words – I’ll let them do the story telling instead!
