Cake, Cars, Canoeing and Church
This week has been a busy one for our students - most of them began the week with ML (Mountain Leader) Training - involving a very windy camping experience! The students have all been working hard to be ready for this - as they have to have a minimum of 20 quality mountain days before the training and some have been regularly sacrificing their Saturdays to do even more walking!
The rest of the week they have been preparing for their 2* Assessment in Canoeing and Kayaking (happening today!) ready for their Level 1 Coaching Paddlesports assessment next week.
Outside of course time there has also been lots going on...
Danny bought a new car
We led the Church service at Kingairloch (complete with Children's action songs)
And we are all preparing for the Great Abernethy Cake Off to be held at Team Conference in a few weeks time! Competition will be fierce - but Ardgour will of course come out on top.
There have been some interesting suggestions for cakes however, including strawberry and chocolate milkshake cake and one member of staff wondering if a Bakewell tart might count...
We will keep you posted with any kitchen disasters or cake explosions that might result from this...
