Team Conference!

Last week the whole of the Abernethy Team gathered at our Nethybridge centre to enjoy a week of training and teaching.

We travelled over on Monday evening and enjoyed some excellent food (provided by our very own Ardgour kitchen team). Tuesday was a training day where we enjoyed some team wide games, teaching on how to share our faith and learnt all about what colours we are (sounds strange but was actually very helpful!)

I know you have all been waiting eagerly to find out how the Abernethy Cake Off went - and I am pleased to share that Pete won the non - kitchen team cookie prize! Here he is looking very proud of himself!

After kicking off the conference proper in the evening Tuesday night ended with a very fun (and very warm) Ceilidh in the dining room!

The conference was based around John 10:10 - "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full" and we all enjoyed the teaching sessions followed by small group chats to dive deeper into the passage and look more at discipleship.

Outside of the teaching we also enjoyed free time and various trips and outings - including a trip to the Trampoline park, outings to Inverness and Aviemore and a very serious game of football. A highlight of the week was definitely the Live Lounge - Paddy's stand up comedy returned and we enjoyed Roald's magic tricks - along with much more.

Overall we had a great time of teaching, fun and getting to know the rest of the team much better, and then enjoyed a relaxing weekend!

The sad news is that Josh has now left the centre to return to Zambia as his module has come to an end. We have loved having him at Ardgour and hope that he will come back and visit!
