Bonjour from the Alps!
As you can see we have made it to our winter home in Switzerland and luckily for us, so has the snow! Following a Christmas and New Year with barely any snowfall in Switzerland, this past week has more than made up for it with a couple of feet of fluffy, white, wonderful snow added to the slopes here in Anzere.
Everyone is having an awesome time and the beginner classes are going particularly well, so well if fact that some of the newbie's to skis are even attempting the black runs in the resort. Everyone is quickly progressing toward being expert skiers thanks to our amazing instructors and intense programme. By the end of 6 weeks in the beautiful Swiss Alps some of our group will have gone from never having seen a pair of skis before, to qualified BASI level 1 Alpine Ski Instructors. Alongside training for level 1, one of our students is training for his level 2 and one of our instructors for her level 3 instructor award.
I am sure as the weeks progress there will be plenty of stories to tell and photographs to post, so I will aim to keep you updated as best as I can from a chalet with no internet! Until next time.
